Our Core Values

Be Sociable

  • We greet customers, vendors, and colleagues with a smile. Speak to people when we see them, and show curiosity about the people with whom we do business. We focus on being friendly, welcoming, and gracious hosts, anticipating other’s needs, and making people feel comfortable in our space.

Be Collaborative

  • We recognize it takes many vendors, team members, and customers to make business work. We have compassion and understanding that other people’s efforts impact our work, and the humility and responsibility to know so too does our work impact others.

  • We are open and honest with our vendors, colleagues, and customers. We deliver hard news frankly and compassionately and we receive hard news graciously.

  • We are self aware enough to admit when we need help, vulnerable enough to ask for help when we need it, and gracious enough to offer help when it is asked of us.

  • A small team means every day the successes or failures of our business can rest on a single person. We protect against that risk by relying on our team. Great team players make the people around them better.

  • “That’s not my job” is not in our vocabulary.

Hone your craft

  • Our birthplace was a garage on Madison St. NE. Few of us trained specifically to make, manage, or serve cider. Passion brought us to this industry, hard work compensated for lack of experience, but ongoing commitment to improvement has made us Sociable.

  • We iterate. Our first version of something is seldom the best. We learn from our attempts, we refine processes, we adapt to customer needs and the market.

  • We start every journey as learners, we walk the path to mastery and understand that there is no end to that journey.

  • We know personal growth translates into business growth. When those paces do not align, we ask what we can do to elevate and rely on the team around us to achieve those goals. Should we outgrow Sociable, we leave knowing we are prepared to be leaders in our next venture.

  • A “This is how we’ve always done it” mentality is the path to has-been.
