come join us from 4-6P on Sunday, April 28th at Sociable Cider for a one-of-a-kind event. during this workshop, we’ll be going over embroidery techniques designed to embellish, up-cycle and bring new life to your favorite digs :)
this class is suited for beginner stitchers as well as seasoned stitchers that would like to expand their arsenal to include new techniques. we’ll be delving into up-cycling techniques, font embroidery, visible mending and different embroidery stitches and tips n’ tricks to make your clothes entirely your own
your ticket includes:
our starter kit: a 4” hoop, practice fabric, needle, needle-threader in a canvas bag (all yours to take home!)
a huge array of thread, fabric, transfer supplies and all supplies needed for your project
two hours of “hands on” instruction

feel free to bring your favorite jean jacket, shirt with the little hole/wine stain and you’ll be guided on how to make ‘em look as good as new. don’t worry, we’ll be doing a practice run first! we can’t wait to stitch with you and see what you make :)

Join us at Sociable Cider Werks to learn two different methods to seamlessly connect even the smallest pieces of yarn scraps together to create a whole new ball yarn. TEXTILE CENTER: Felting with Scraps

Have you ever wondered what to do with all those tiny fabric bits and yarn pieces that are leftover from a crafting project? Join us at Sociable Cider Werks to learn how to felt scraps of wool roving and cloth into a colorful coaster! In celebration of Earth Month, Textile Center is sharing some of our favorite techniques to help you reuse all of your textile waste–even the smallest pieces of thread! All materials for this event–including scraps–are provided by Textile Center, although you are welcome to bring your own leftover crafting bits to work with too.
